My Story

So here is my story...


I spent most of my twenties totally obsessing over my weight and food. I tried diet after diet, followed crazy rules, restrictions, and lists (so many lists!).  You name a health fad from the last 10 years and I have tried it. 

I became an emotional eater, stressing about each meal. On top of all that I lived, and still do, in a very social city, New Orleans (people like to party, drink and eat). I would eat "healthy" during the week, living off water, protein bars, and Vyvanse (ADHD medicine). I worked out light headed and dizzy from a lack of calories. Then on the weekends I would binge on froyo, late night fast food, and Chinese take out. I got down to102 pounds and finally my mother (thank God) stepped in. I had to stop the Vyvanse and start eating full meals.

I was lost. I had relied so much on Vyvanse and the lifestyle that came with it. I didn't know how to nourish my body and it was starving!

I started researching and learning about whole foods. I never realized how food can have a physical ,mental, and emotional affect on your body. I started eating foods that were nourishing, gave me energy, and made me feel amazing. I said goodbye to Lean Cuisines and started finding ways to make my favorite comfort meals healthy and delicious. I threw out my scale and stopped worrying about my weight. More importantly, I learned how to be confident in my own body.


I focused on feeling good and I did that by changing the way I ate, worked out, and managed all the other stressors in my life. I wanted to share my new found life with other people.


I decided to take a leap, do something new, scary, and completely out of my comfort zone. I enrolled at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a holistic health coach. A year long program, to further my knowledge of holistic health and learn how to help people reach their goals.

If someone is stuck in a rut or is in need of ideas, support or someone to talk to, I am here. My approach is very realistic and simple. Everyone has their story, their stressors, their challenges. I am here to help you quit dieting and start living a real life with real results.
