Greek Meatballs with Tzatziki Sauce

Meatball Ingredients:

1/2 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground lamb

3/4 cup almond flour

1/4 cup parsley, chopped

1 clove garlic, grated

1/2 yellow onion, grated but if you are short on time minced

1 egg

2 tsp dried oregano

2 tsp cumin

2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

Tzatziki Sauce

1 small container of full fat greek yogurt

1/2 english cucumber, peeled and grated

1/2 lemon, juiced

2 tsp fresh dill, chopped

1 clove garlic, grated

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

Preheat oven to 350.

In a large bowl, mix together the meatball ingredients - get ready to get your hands dirty.

Once everything is well incorporated, begin rolling out the balls. I made each ball with about 2 tbsp worth of mixture. The size is up to you!

Once the balls are form, heat a non stick pan on medium heat and add extra virgin olive oil.

Place balls in the pan and brown on all sides. Meatballs do not have to be fully cooked.

Place pan in the oven for 10 minute or until meatballs are cook through. Best way to test is to break one open and try it!

While meatballs are baking, mix all of the sauce ingredients, in a small bowl.

Serve with a side salad or your choice of roasted veggies.

tips & tricks

For Whole 30 Approved - Replace tzatziki sauce for tahini dressing (found in sauces & dressings). Tahini dressing is easier to make and faster if you are short on time.

Great for appetizers! Serve with hummus & kalamata olives.

To make this meal a power plate, serve with a big Greek salad or with roasted vegetables.
