1 tbsp avocado or coconut oil
3 tbsp popcorn kernels
3 tbsp nutritional yeast
pinch of red pepper flakes
pick of ground pepper
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
In a large pot, add 1 tbsp avocado oil or coconut oil and 3 tbsp popcorn kernels.
Place the lid on top, and set to medium heat.
When you start to hear popping, hold the lid and shake back and forth a few times.
Set pot back on stove and move lid off a little to let air release.
Let popcorn pop until you can count 5 seconds between two pops (you don't want to burn it).
While popcorn is popping, mix the nutritional yeast, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper in a bowl or large ziplock bag.
Once popcorn is fully popped add to bowl or bag with extra virgin olive oil.
Shake until popcorn is fully covered and enjoy!
tips & tricks
Great snack that is full of good fat and B vitamins
You can find nutritional yeast at most grocery stores.
I use the Bragg's brand but any brand will work.
For best results, if you have a mortar and pestle - grind nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes before adding to popcorn. It will cover the popcorn better.
